A Fail-Proof Plan For You

Dear Friend,

Last week, I opened my Facebook page and was greeted with this message from my friend, Sam.

Just wanna say how much I love and appreciate your radio show! Listen to it every night along with some of the great Andrew Farley. You guys are definitely the best and, from a college student perspective, there are a lot of people hungry for this great message and I love sharing with them about grace and the New Covenant!

Sam’s comments point to the importance of getting out the message of grace. Grace, as expressed in the New Covenant, is the truth of the gospel. Whether you are a college student, a house wife, a teacher or a retiree, grace is what you need.

I’m thankful and energized that Sam is sharing the good news on his college campus. We want to reach more like him across this country and connect them to the grace of God. But we can’t get the word out and into the lives of people without the prayers and financial support from friends like you.

The opportunities to grow are limitless. Last year, for example, we had the opportunity to place Basic Gospel on the most listened to teaching and talk station in the country. And this year, radio executives have offered spots for Basic Gospel on stations in Seattle, Orlando, Pittsburgh and the Sirius Satellite network, to name a few.

To take advantage of these opportunities requires more resources, more capital. To help meet this challenge, I am asking the Basic Gospel team to grow our contributions by 13%, or $136,000 additional this year.

To be specific, I am asking you to increase your giving to Basic Gospel this year. I am asking you to help us stretch and grow, to build people in the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

It is the message that changes everything. I like to call it “God’s fail-proof plan” for you.

Think about all that Jesus gave you – life, forgiveness, righteousness, identity, his indwelling presence and freedom. These are all gifts of grace, given freely and without conditions.

This message resonated with Sam on his college campus. He was looking for something more, and he found life in Jesus Christ. He wanted assurance of God’s love, and it found its way into his heart through forgiveness and righteousness. He wanted purpose, and there it was in his new identity in Christ.

The good news of Jesus Christ resonates with people all over the world and answers the deepest needs of their hearts. Only in the grace of God can the heart find true fulfillment, deep joy and genuine contentment. His favor brings the purest and truest sense of happiness to the soul.

For all the writers of the New Testament, grace is the heart and soul of the Gospel. Consider these verses:

I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it. (1 Peter 5:12)

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6, 7)

Grace is the way of salvation. Grace is the way of the Christian life. Grace will stand as an eternal testimony to all of creation.

As for you, grace opened the door to everything new. By faith in Jesus and his finished work, you’ve walked through. You’ve taken your stand.

Through your gifts to Basic Gospel, you will help others, like Wayne, take their stand. He recently sent this encouraging note.

Thank You so much for Basic Gospel! I feel that day by day, I am learning the key truths that lead to having a faith that works

Will you prayerfully consider what you can do this year to help us get the word out? Your faithful support has been vital. We are more appreciative than you can know. Please let me know that you will help Basic Gospel reach more people in 2015.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. Together, in His grace,

Bob Christopher
