Happy December, everybody!

The Christmas holiday season is in full stride and, oh, by the way — yes, it’s okay! It’s just fine to say, “Merry Christmas!” I plan to say it a lot. In fact, I’ll start right now — MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY! There. I feel better.

Truly, it’s the most exciting time of the year, especially for the kids and I, for one, love seeing their happy, smiling little faces. But we need to remember to share with them to true reason that we celebrate Christmas.

How well I remember my pre-teen years when I was in Sunday School every week learning about Jesus and His love. And those wonderful hymns of Christmas, like Silent Night.

It reminds me of Matthew 19:13-15:

Then the little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them; and the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven” belongs to such as these. And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there…

So, this Christmas and every Christmas, let’s make sure the little children know about His love for them, because just as He touched the little ones who were brought to Him in that day, His hands today are all over Christmas. In fact, He IS the Spirit of Christmas.

Okay, let’s see what’s in the InBox this weekend…
