It’s the weekend and time again for the latest edition of Inside the Studio with your guest host Greg Parke.
First, I’d like to pass on a hearty “thank you” for all your well-wishes on behalf of Bob Davis as he continues to recuperate at home. I’m sure you noticed that he’s joined us all this week on radio … not from “inside the studio” but rather “outside the studio”. Thanks to the internet and modern radio technology he’s able to connect from home and be part of the conversation everyday on Basic Gospel.
I know you’re aware that each month we highlight a topic and while we take all kinds of questions during the broadcast, each day Bob Christopher and Richard Peifer open the program giving their insights into the month’s topic.
This month is no different…
Do you belong to Christ? Let’s listen as Bob Christopher looks at the importance of identity in a believer’s life.
That’s a question asked at one time or another by every person who’s ever lived. The following calls reveal the importance of the answer to that question.
A voice mail caller is truly concerned for his salvation.
Robby sends in an email asking what happens if a believer dies in sin.
I have the Holy Spirit, but can I get more?
Can we move the hand of God? Bob Christopher and Richard Peifer turn the tables on this question.
As you can hear, identity is at the root of so many questions about the human life. It is truly foundational. Some might even call it “basic”.
And that’s why we’re here. To bring people back to the basics – the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There would be no hope for us apart from his work. And because of his finished work we have been made alive in Christ, made new creations, born again, and made children of God.
That’s the only identity we need.
Until next week,
