It is both a privilege and an honor for Bob, Richard, and me to sit in the Basic Gospel studio each day and proclaim the fulness of God’s love and grace in Jesus Christ.

Over many years I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing on the earth more important to God than people. I stated that once to a former broadcast partner who quickly added, “Oh, yes. Relationships. It’s all about relationships.”

“No,” I replied. “It’s not just about relationships. It’s so much bigger than that.”

God is not limited to our network of family, friends, work-mates, and acquaintances. For we have been told through the apostle Peter that, “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance*.” (2 Peter 3:9 – NASB)

That’s why we consider it such a privilege and honor to carry His message of love, grace, and life in Christ Jesus to ears far beyond our relationships, to reach all who will hear, believe, and live in this incredibly good news.

With that said, I will share more interesting questions this weekend from some of those dearly loved by God. Let’s get to them…

*Don’t interpret the word “repentance” as cleaning up one’s act before being worthy to receive salvation — the life of Jesus. Repentance means a change of mind and heart in regard to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ — turning from unbelief to belief.

A shout-out to the program support staff

It is the voices of Bob, Richard, and me that you hear on the Basic Gospel radio program. But behind the scenes, there is a group of great people that actually makes it possible for the program to go out and who facilitate a live presentation each day.

I know that Bob and Richard join me in expressing our thanks and appreciation to Greg Parke, Michele Lister, and Coleman Christopher, each of whom has a hands-on role in all programs.
