1 Peter 3:7 can be a confusing passage. It is often used to command husbands on how to treat their wives. The passage is really about the inside-out nature of our relationships. Tom asks about John 6:65 which says "no one can come to me unless it is granted by the Father." A California listener asks if his tithe has to go to a church or can he give to a charity or ministry like Basic Gospel. Giving is not an obligation; it's a response to God's leading. Ron asks if we will be held accountable for the number of people we lead to Jesus? Is there a "quota" that believers must meet?

This broadcast begins with a "hard passage" from the Bible. The kind of passage that makes you scratch your head and ask "What in the world does this mean?". The first is 1 Peter 1:1-6 which talks about wives being submissive to their husbands. Many look at this through legalistic eyes and make it just another list of rules and regulations. That's not what it is at all. David in Hawaii asks about salvation not being complete until you are baptized with water. Tom asks whether 1 John 1:9 was written to believers or non-believers.

A YouTube viewer asks about eternal security - can we truly say that once we are saved, we don't have to worry ever again about our salvation?

Mike emailed us with a question about how to minister and show compassion and love to the people he encounters in his job as a policeman. The job and his faith seem contradictory at times. Jan asked about the teaching he heard about power in a woman's long hair. Deron asks about Jesus' taking our sins at the cross. Is that why Jesus cried out "Why have you forsaken me?" Did the spirit of God temporarily leave him? Tom is coming out of self-imposed legalism. The New Covenant seems too simple. What's the catch?

Kristin has heard teaching that our sins separate us from God, and that's what is causing her anxiety. Do our sins really separate us? Is he speaking of his life as a believer who still struggles? Samuel connected through YouTube to ask about hell - is it a real place? How does judgment pertain to who is sent to hell and who isn't? Revelation reveals wonderful truth! Myles in Calgary asks if Jesus said anything about going to a minister, vicar, pastor for direction in the Bible or is the Holy Spirit the source of our discernment? Samuel is concerned about maintaining an attitude of appreciation toward others. Why is it so hard to be an encourager sometimes? The warning is to not make being appreciative a "work". William in California comments on our being a new creation in Christ. Adam and Eve had the choice to leave and never come back; our choice is to come back and never leave.

Ryan asks about Revelation 3:5 - is it really possible that a believer's name can ever be removed from the Book of Life? Because Jesus lives forever, he has saved us completely and we can be assured that we will be with him forever. Kristin asks when she feels the onslaught of the enemy, what are some strategies she can use to get back on track with truth. Stephanie asks about how a believer can make decisions about governmental elections. How can I know that God is working all things together for good when it seems that those who are weak and neglected are being damaged by policy. Amanda in Fort Worth, Texas called to discuss the fact that she recently lost her job and is facing an eviction notice from her apartment. The job she was trying to do was too physically taxing and she is having difficulty finding a new job. She is feeling very anxious and hopeless and that maybe God is not thinking of her. Samuel asks about losing sight of the joy of Jesus and looking to the world for temporary joy. How do we resist that temptation?
