Bob and Richard address another "hard passage" - Hebrews 10:26-29. This passage states "it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Sab in England asks about Revelation 2:4. Does this only apply to the seven churches or is it for us - that God has something against us? Lois is a Christian working in a secular business. She has witnessed her boss stealing from the business. What should she do? Vicky in Denver asks about the tree of knowledge - is that when evil came into the world. Why did God create the tree? Does that mean he created evil? Shawn encourages all believers that if they are in Christ, there's nothing to be afraid of. In Christ, we have assurance and peace.

Bob, Bob and Richard discuss the horrifying event in Las Vegas. What goes on in someone's mind that brings a person to commit such heinous acts? It is pure evil. Our hearts go out to the victims and those who love them. The trauma of this will manifest in many different ways. We pray that they would turn to the Word of God for answers. Kristin asks about how 1 Corinthians 1:1-5 should be applied today. Bob and Richard explain the hard passage of Hebrews 10:26-29. What is the "fearful expectation of judgment"? Is this passage true for believers? An email question asks about Adam and Eve - did they really die spiritually? Did anyone in the Old Testament go to Heaven? Abraham believed what God revealed to him and God credited it to him as righteousness. All are saved by grace, through Christ-whether under the Old Covenant or the New Covenant.

Recently Bob Christopher addressed a hard passage - Hebrews 6:4-6. Is it possible to "fall away" from grace and lose your salvation? That's not what the writer of Hebrews is teaching. Context is important. Dwight asked for an explanation of 1 Corinthians 13:3. Does this mean that we need to give all we possess to the poor but do it without love, does it mean nothing? Kade asks if there will be no marriage in Heaven, will he and his wife have no relationship at all? Veronica's question is about the role of the Holy Spirit in our glorified bodies.

This broadcast begins with a "hard passage" from the Bible. The kind of passage that makes you scratch your head and ask "What in the world does this mean?". The first is 1 Peter 1:1-6 which talks about wives being submissive to their husbands. Many look at this through legalistic eyes and make it just another list of rules and regulations. That's not what it is at all. David in Hawaii asks about salvation not being complete until you are baptized with water. Tom asks whether 1 John 1:9 was written to believers or non-believers.

Ryan asks about Revelation 3:5 - is it really possible that a believer's name can ever be removed from the Book of Life? Because Jesus lives forever, he has saved us completely and we can be assured that we will be with him forever. Kristin asks when she feels the onslaught of the enemy, what are some strategies she can use to get back on track with truth. Stephanie asks about how a believer can make decisions about governmental elections. How can I know that God is working all things together for good when it seems that those who are weak and neglected are being damaged by policy. Amanda in Fort Worth, Texas called to discuss the fact that she recently lost her job and is facing an eviction notice from her apartment. The job she was trying to do was too physically taxing and she is having difficulty finding a new job. She is feeling very anxious and hopeless and that maybe God is not thinking of her. Samuel asks about losing sight of the joy of Jesus and looking to the world for temporary joy. How do we resist that temptation?

We begin this week with a question from Debbie. A woman at a bible study challenged her salvation because she doesn't speak in tongues. Bob debunks the allegation and encourages her with the true meaning of salvation. Russell is questioning his religious upbringing and asks what grace really means. An email question from a man who asks how to forgive his ex-wife for her adultery so they can have a good relationship for their children. Darrell asks if John the Baptist was not worthy to unlatch Jesus' shoes and yet the woman who anointed His feet was worthy. What makes them different? We end with Jeff's request for clarification about Hebrews 6 as it pertains to losing salvation. This is a very interesting Basic Gospel Weekend and we pray it is an encouragement to you!
