Our first question is from a caller who is concerned about her Christian daughter who is now living the gay lifestyle. Jay asks about Daniel 2:44. When did God's kingdom become established on earth? Kristin asks about speaking in tongues. Is there a special prayer language? A caller asks if the women who have had abortions will see their aborted child in Heaven. Mike asks what does it look like to walk by faith in day-to-day life?

Laban asks if we are seated with Jesus, then is our work done as well? This is a very interesting question and a very thorough answer - you will enjoy it! Sarah questions forgiveness - why did Jesus include it in the Lord's Prayer if we are already forgiven? Dave asks how does one know for sure they have the Holy Spirit in them? Kristin asks about Revelations. What is meant by having to overcoming if we are already saved. Also what about the verse that says we can have our names blotted out of the book of life? Ramone is a first-time caller and asks if cremation is prohibited for believers?

Marcus asks about sanctification. Are we sanctified at salvation or is it a progressive sanctification? Ryan in Alberta, Canada called to ask what are some things he can expect as he faces a terminal illness. What insights can you share about Heaven? We ask that our listeners continue to pray for Ryan and his family as they journey through this illness. Charles in Ohio asks about 1 Corinthians 3:14-15. What are the rewards we receive in Heaven? Greg asks about backsliding. If a believer willfully sins after salvation, what happens? The good news is that if you are truly saved, you remain truly saved for eternity. Ken asks about our identity - are we sinners or saints? We are saints by calling, we have a new identity, and we will begin to see that identity transform how we think and act.

Wanda asks about the verse "by his stripes we are healed" in Isaiah 53:5. Bob explains that this is not a verse about physical healing but a verse about the healing of our souls. Rose has a question about Revelation. When we die does our spirit go immediately to heaven or are we in a state of limbo? Bob explains "absent from the body, present with the Lord" for the believer. Jose asks about attending church - do we have to attend church? Richard explains the importance of, not the requirement of, meeting together with like-minded believers. Kim asks a heart-wrenching question. If she decides to quit dialysis and let her body go, will God still receive her? Bob handles this question with compassion, concern, and truth from the Word of God. It's a powerful response. Chris asks about John 15:14, "you are my friends if you do what I command". What is the context of this statement? If I don't do a good job of loving others, does that mean Jesus will not love me? Curtis asks if God knows our eternal destiny before we are even conceived?

Our first call is from Alice. Her 18 year old granddaughter is confused and desires to have surgery to become a male. Bob encourages Alice in how to respond to such a heartbreaking situation. Aric calls to talk about the fact that we are already seated with Christ in the heavenlies. It is hard to understand that Christ lives in us here and we also live with Him there. What a message of hope! Also, Bob introduces Aric as the newest member of the Basic Gospel Board of Directors. Lavonna calls to encourage a listener struggling with pornography. Colossians 3:3-7 is a powerful passage. It is the grace of God enables us to say no to such things. Theresa calls to encourage listeners to get a copy of our CD, Drive the Stake - the Gospel message is one that we need to hear over and over. The more we hear it, the more the truth of Jesus becomes our reality and we can see it lived out in our daily life. Bill was a member of the Seventh Adventist Church and called with a question about the Ten Commandments. We are now ministers of the New Covenant, where God writes his laws on our hearts, not on stone. Jesus opens our eyes to truth and the reality of the New Covenant vs. the Old Covenant. Thanks for joining us!

Our first call this week is about Revelation 3:5 - Doris asked, "Is it possible for your name to be erased from the Lamb's Book of Life?" Far from a fearful verse, this passage is actually the most reassuring scripture in the book of Revelation. We challenge you to look at this verse very carefully! James made a courageous call to ask why he is struggling so much in his walk with the Lord when it used to be so easy? This is a question we all face at one time or another. Connie asked an interesting question - if our resurrected body will be perfect, why did Jesus' body still bear the marks of the cross? We end this edition with a question from Lauren - is the book of Jude a warning against using grace as a license to sin or is there more to it? Thanks for joining us this week! We pray this program is a blessing to you!

We begin this week's edition with an important question from Mia. Please tell me if we can or cannot lose salvation. Bob Christopher gives a complete explanation of what salvation is - the very life of Christ. Once we understand that salvation is so much more than simply a golden yicket into Heaven, our lives are transformed. Alicia is concerned about her children - is there an age of accountability for children to accept or reject Christ? How is a parent to lead their children into a knowledge of Christ? Don asks for clarification about the rewards in Heaven. Is there a hierarchy in Heaven based on the works we did or did not do? We end this week with a question from Sharon about the often-controversial subject of tongues. Bob explains that the focus of Christianity should be Jesus. Signs and wonders do not save - only Jesus and His finished work provided eternal salvation. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. Join us next week for another edition of Basic Gospel Weekend!

We address some important issues in this week's edition. First up is Martin who asks about the warning in Ephesians to not give the devil a foothold. We look to the context of scripture to answer this question and find that this passage is really an "attitude" passage and instruction to not let emotions have control over our actions. Sonia asks about adultery - can the adulterer be forgiven? Richard explains that while we have to bear the fruit of our behavior, if a believer falls into the trap of adultery, he still has the promise of redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Jose' asks for insight into how to properly study the Bible. The simple answer is `context, context, context'! Al called to find out what the "treasures in Heaven" are. Ephesians 1:3 holds the key to that question. We end with a call from Gary asking about the often misunderstood gift of tongues. Andrew and Richard explain the scriptural definition of tongues. Thanks for joining us and we pray this edition of Basic Gospel Weekend will be a benefit to you! See you next week!
