Bob Davis offers a Thanksgiving greeting. Chris asks about the value of praying for one another and should we pray for something more than once. Mark has been diagnosed as bipolar and also is addicted to nicotine. He is fearful of giving up nicotine thinking it might cause more episodes of bipolar symptoms. Ruth is confused about salvation. In Ephesians 2:8-9 it speaks as salvation as a gift of God. In Philippians 2:12 it says to work out your own salvation. Those two passages seem to contradict one another. A phone caller asks about tongues. Why is it that some churches put importance on tongues and others don't? Victoria called to ask about abiding in Christ. She wants to encourage others to abide in Christ.

Bob, Andrew and Richard spend a few minutes exploring the issue of prayer in depth. Stan asks about his desire to serve God with music. Has he missed God's purpose in his life? An anonymous writer asks "How can God expect me to follow Him when He allowed a horrible tragedy to occur in my life?" Sabrina asks about her husband. Ralph in Tennessee asks about prayer. His wife is very ill and the prayers of the whole church hasn't seemed to "work". What is the role of prayer in situations like this? Lydia asks about the Sabbath? Is it a certain day that we must observe? Bob points her to the "eternal rest" that we now experience in Christ Jesus. There's an interesting observation about the 7th day we encourage you to hear. Stan asks how we really know the will of God. He feels he has missed God's purpose and blessing. Richard answers with insight from his own life. Kim is worried about all the instances of seeing the number 666. Does it mean that she is being attacked or marked? Stephen asks if it is wrong to ask the Lord to take him home? He feels he is not making the world "better". Bob encourages him to allow the Lord to work through him. He will use us in individual lives.

Mary Jo asks if a believer goes back to their old homosexual lifestyle, will they go to hell? Bob answers this question as it relates to any sin. If you are forgiven, you ARE forgiven. There is no sin that Jesus left unforgiven. Carl has a question about the Trinity. Are the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ created beings? Lucy asks about Revelation 3:19. Does God discipline? Angela asks if her salvation is secure no matter which church she attends. With all the different doctrines among churches, is there anything that could nullify salvation? Jose expresses that he is burnt out with trying to live the Christian life. He asks for a complete definition of legalism. Jerome asks about praying "in the Spirit". Is there a difference between speaking in tongues and praying in the Spirit? Gloria asks about two passages in Proverbs that seem to contradict each other.

We begin this week's edition with a call from Cynthia who is passionate about calling the church to prayer regarding the things of the world. Bob speaks from the heart about this subject and reminds us that our calling is to be a voice in this dark world, sharing the good news about Christ. Colossians 2:22-3 was the subject of Jose's email - if we have died with Christ, are we set free from the rules of the world? Anthony shares his concern regarding serving other people. If we reach out to people, how do we avoid taking on their problems as our own. Andrew has a great perspective and set Anthony's mind at ease. Antoine asks the question, "is salvation as simple as John 3:16 or do we need deeper knowledge?" Bob reassures him that the path to salvation is simply "by grace, through faith". Our last question is from Ron who asks for clarification on Hebrews 4:15 - how was Jesus tempted in every way and yet remained without sin? Bob points out that this scripture should teach us that God certainly knows everything we are going through and that Jesus understands our temptations. We can trust in the Father, just as Jesus did. Thanks for joining us!
