How do we reconcile the wrath of God poured out in the Old Testament with the overwhelming love of God in the New Testament? The answer lies in understanding God’s plan. The unfolding story of Jesus from the Old Testament through the New Testament reveals His plan. In the Old, we see spiritual forces of darkness with the sole purpose of preventing God’s plan from coming to fruition. There were people groups who were caught up in the spiritual forces of darkness trying to destroy the plan of God. In that rebellion, there was destruction, to protect the bloodline of Jesus.
A miracle of new life occurs every time someone turns to Christ by faith. Someone dead in sin is born again of the Spirit and is raised to walk in the newness of life. That is the power of the gospel, the amazing grace God pours out on those who look to him for life. To be saved by grace means you have been made alive with Jesus Christ. You were dead, and now you are alive in him.

What about 1 John 1:9?

How can I truly know I'm saved?
What happens when I die?
How can I know I'm forgiven?
How do we reconcile the Old vs. the New
There are many definitions of grace. But what exactly does the Bible have to say?
Too often we see marriage as a chance to fix our spouse…
Ritual or relational?
I've heard the Good News. Now what?
